Does this version play nice with threaded sms or does it still hide the text?

Touchpal works perfectly with SMS-Chat. If you are talking about Palm's SMS Thread, there's no solution for that since it's the app's fault, not the keyboards.

I havent gotten a response, and I was the first documented ppcgeeks member to email them. I dont think they care too much, seems like their attitude is "use it as-is or shut up and go away"

I really like this app though, missing a few key features, but also has too many positives for me to uninstall.I hope that they are still working on this!

Thumbs up

Definately, the positives of the app far outweigh the negatives.

Thought I should mention that for a more finger/touch friendly experience, I suggest installing the sister app FunContact v2.1 http://iwindowsmobile.com/contact-manager.html, which ties directly into SMSChat.

I have a link to a short video I found here (if that is allowed), which shows some of the key usability features of the program.

These people gotta start paying me for marketing their stuff .

But as always, before installing any application which could affect your Contacts, Tasks, Calendar, SMS messages etc, I strongly suggest using Pim Backup v2.8 and some other Sprite backup utility (got one bundled with my TYTN II right outta the box ) just in case you need to hard reset your device in the future.

With both apps, you need to either minimize them, or press your OK hardkey (if you have one) to come out and leave the program running in the background. This cuts out the waiting for the splash screen to load before getting down to business.

You may ask, "Why are his posts always so long?"

Well, I was a noob once (not too long ago actually), and I found that reading forums with detailed info kinda boosted my confidence in trying new software, knowing that there were experienced peeps in the forums that could help if I ran into difficulty.

And you guys & gals pretty much rock when it comes to the knowledge department .
