Nope, I tried changing all those options and I just could not get it to send a MMS.

What I would really like to see is a few people that are running the stock 6.5 Sprint rom try this and get feedback from them. see if it works.

1) Make sure you either backup your messages or delete them all before installing cab.
2) Disable Sense
3) Make sure messaging app is not running
4) Install attached cab
5) Soft Reset

The Messaging Client should work great after this except no MMS... The following steps will get your MMS functioning properly:

1) Start the messaging app and go to
"Menu">>"settings">>>"options">>>"menu">>>"MMs Server">>click "New"
2) Enter the following settings depending on carrier:
Sprint
IP:blank
PORT:80
Server add: "http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms?X-SPRINT-MDN=xxxxxxxxxx" replace xxxx with yours
connect via:sprint
Limit: set it to what you want edit the registry for higher
WAP V:None
click done and reset

Verizon
Server Name: tmms
gateway: 216.155.165.50
port number: 8080
server address: h t t p://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms <w/o the spaces
connect via: choose the one currently being edited
sending size limit: 300k
wap version: 2.0

I hope this helps you guys, ive been struggling with htc messaging for about a week now so im thrilled to finally find one that fully functions

btw, im im stock sprint 6.5 with Sense 2.5
Hey Puff, being that it works for you on stock, mayby there is a missing element or setting on custom rom that stock has.
EDIT:
comparing other threads, I see this as the only difference so far that is prob helping:

Server add: "http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms?X-SPRINT-MDN=xxxxxxxxxx"
EDIT2: this is aside from your cab on new fix you posted from Mr.X which may also play a part.

In his post on the other thread, he says he CAN'T send MMS.

My guess is that he thought it was working because it seems to send successfully, but the message never reaches the recipient.

correct. it seemed to work the first few times. after a closer look, everything works fine, including securebox, except sending MMS. i looked into the registry and it looks like mms is set up for GSM, not CDMA. i bet if we could find the correct CDMA registry entries, MMS will work fine.... Ive read that copying the GSM folder and naming it CDMA has no effect so i think the registry keys for CDMA are different from the GSM entries.

any1 else got any ideas? im still using it and its still better than the wm client IMO. i lost the capability to send MMS, but now i have a better looking interface (especially skinned) thats better integrated into Sense.

Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!

So currently I'm still stuck at the same point of being able to send MMS, but not receive properly... I get the message saying "new MMS, please download" but it fails when I try to download it.

@puff601 - I found a site with a ton of CDMA settings, but I didn;t bookmark it... (what was i thinking...?)

I'll do some more digging later...

Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!

Why do you guys even think it would be possible to use HTC Messaging Client to send MMS with Sprint? IMO...if it were possible to do, I'm pretty sure HTC would have included HTC Messaging Client in the Sprint Sense 2.5.2011 ROM (only up to 2016 packages now, so it's not like it's a super old version). No one has found the correct setting for Sprint since HTC Messaging Client was first included in a ROM, which was many months ago. I'd love to be proved wrong though .

Re: New SMS update from HTC Mostly working!!!!

I installed this and didn't like how the input text box takes up a large part of the screen and when flipping the keyboard out, the input box scrolls out of view...

So I decided to uninstall it.. and now I'm not getting the green circle notification showing I have unread texts. I tried installing a .cab that changes the color of the circle thinking that would bring it back, since it includes the manila file. No luck. Registry issue maybe? The circle shows for new emails but not for texts. Anyone know how to fix it short of a hard reset?

New HTCmessaging version 1_8_2017 1628_00 from leaked huashan rom :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=967

It should be better and always a chance someone may get mms working correctly.
I haven't tried yet, Anyone care to try and post results?
Goodluck!
