Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
I've tried searching for the answer to this but haven't had any luck. Since I've upgraded to the new kitchen, my wifi and gps will stop working after a few mins and not start back up until a soft reset. Anybody have any idea as to why?

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
I noticed some WLAN issues yesterday too. I like to stream internet radio while mowing the lawn and was doing so, but everytime I stopped Windows Media Player and then went to start back up, it wouldn't unless I either a) turned off WLAN and switched to EVDO, or b) soft reset and reconnected to WLAN. I also had to go into WLAN settings and walk thru the setup to re-connect to my router. Running a standard WEP setup which worked OK with 20226.

My mogul stopped being recogized by USB so I ordered a replacement and flashed the defective one back to stock alltel rom/radio. I was amazed how reliable the Wlan connectivity was and how incredibly long the battery lasted. I would go all day and be at 80% battery remaining where the last two kitchen builds would often be down to 50% in less than an hour. If GPS and working MSVC were available on the stock rom i wouldn't bother with the kitchen just because of the battery drain. Although I am addicted to cooking and flashing

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
Anybody else having this issue... it seems as if the the version of smart dial that showed up in no2chems roms shows up in this rom no matter what dialer or smartdial selections you make... I does not work right with the older dialer such as the touch clone dialer by Paul_Hammons and eb3604.

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
20270 Review
After almost three weeks of using this build I have to say that I can't think of any improvements that I would like to see. This has to be the best build so far. It is rock solid, I don't even have to do the daily reset anymore. I still have enough free memory after a few days of regular use to launch any application I want without the phone crashing. The GPS works perfectly with every program that I use and is very quick to get a fix. Battery life was much shorter initially but seemed to straighten itself out after a few days?? I do have a slightly reduced battery life compared to 19588 but it usually lasts the entire day of regular use and seems to last a little longer than I would expect after a lengthy phone call. Maybe it is just the circuitry used to guess the current battery charge not reporting consistently. I did have to tweak some of the OEM's to my liking before settling on a final build ( I cycled between 20226 and 20270 almost twice a day when this first came out). A lot of the changes that worked for me were also in the latest OEM update. Without any major problems to work on or reasons for reloading my phone again I dont know what to do with myself lately so I started creeping over to the Diamond Pro threads just to have something to look forward to. Thank you everyone who made this an excellent build and turned this phone into a very dependable and useful device. |
