Re: 3.35 Battery Killer. More like slaughterer.

I removed HTC Home and HTC Home Customizer because of sluggish performance and draining the battery. As for the sluggish performance (I soft reset then immediately checked and memory was about 57%, then I would wait about 2 hours and not do anything on the phone and checked it again and it would be above 70%), after removing these programs the problem went away and so did my battery draining problem. It's a shame because I loved the HTC Home. This was just my experience with the program.

I've heard the same from the XDA forums. The updated radio doesn't seem to play nice with HTC home, but I'm too attached to it so until I find something as cool I guess I'm stuck.
(Ultimate Launcher maybe?)

Also, is there an easy way to be sure the GPS is off? Like a one button method or something to make sure the port is closed without going through other programs or steps.
It would be cool if someone could patch this into the comm manager. Wow. Just thinking about it. Definately would be cool.

Re: 3.35 Battery Killer. More like slaughterer.

It seems like the newer Home is the culprit for my battery issues, however, since my phone seems to have other hardware issues I have a new one arriving tomorrow from Verizon. I'll be able to do more testing when that one arrives...

Re: 3.35 Battery Killer. More like slaughterer.

Everything has been fine for me on the new ROM.

Usually when I have battery problems I just let it charge and unplug it and plug it in a lot when it charges so it doesn't stop charging because the battery is "fully charged" already. Taking the battery out might help while doing it also.

It seems like an inaccurate representation to me.

I left about 10 AM today and now it is 8:42 and I'm at 90% still.

Re: 3.35 Battery Killer. More like slaughterer.

Are you using the device at all... 90% seems real high? I just want it to last like it did when using the 3.27 radio and roms..... I had real nice battery life then. It would last typically 2 days and have about 20% left.... So, I'd let me daughters play games until it alarmed for low bat, and then I'd plug it in...... so, when the new phone shows up today, I'll plug it in all night and see what I get tomorrow using the stock ROM all day.... Then let the defiling begin.....

since a super fast drain a day before, since yesterday morning around 11 when I charged it fully, my phone is holding up fine. more than 24 hrs . about 5-7 calls, some browsing and its now at 65%. I did not use any GPS though. Still have HTC home with the customizations. Its gotto something with the GPS in this rom.

Same here.
The ones with handles on both sides are particularly useful.

Re: 3.35 Battery Killer. More like slaughterer.

Just wondering if anyone is still dealing with this problem.

I've been through many Roms (currently on Nue-Kitchen) and tried uninstalling everything one at a time. No luck, which means it must be the Radio for me.

Does anyone know if I can reflash Radio 3.35 right over itself? Just to give it another go. Or do I have to go back and start from stock?
