Re: How to upgrade an xv6800 with the new Sprint ROM
Thanks for your how to guide. The only thing I changed was I didn't run the sprint rom. I ran the radio only. It went off without a hitch. Worked very well. Thanks to everyone for there questions. After reading the entire thread I didn't have anything I felt I need to ask.

Re: How to upgrade an xv6800 with the new Sprint ROM
Just wanted to let everyone know that after reading this guide, I felt I had the confidence to do this. I successfully flashed radio 3.35.04 and DCDs 3.2.0 ROM with the verizon cab. I did have to call and get a new a-key however. Only problem I had was that I forgot to install the verizon cab before I talked to customer service. My phone wouldn't open up EPST so they just used a dummy esn and then put my esn back and the phone works just fine. 6.1 is great and gps is working well with live search, connects in a few seconds. So again, thanks!

Re: How to upgrade an xv6800 with the new Sprint ROM
You guys ROCK! After much reading & planning I still felt a little uneasy about a couple of steps, but decided to take the leap anyway. Some of the things made a LOT more sense when I was actually doing them.
Anyway, started off with no2chem's & now I've already cooked me up a couple of my own. Still working towards getting this thing EXACTLY how I want it, but this ROM biz is awesome! Now my 2 iphone buds are green with envy at all I've got going on this previously crippled XV6800 -- and my PPC guys are begging me to do theirs for them, to which I'm giving the standard "give a fish vs. teach to fish" or RTFM! response ![]() Thanks again to all -- especially Gecko!
