Re: How to upgrade an xv6800 with the new Sprint ROM
Help, the install did not work.
When I tried to flash the sprint ROM it stalled at 11%. I did the recovery process several times, and same thing. It fails at 11%. So what the heck do I do now. I did notice that the bootloader says TITA100 & SPL-1.20.Olipro Did I wrongfully install 1.20 instead of 2.40? How do I recover the phone now since it has a 11% flash on it? Thanks for your help, Tom

alright i fixed it by installing the stock verizon rom, relocking the phone, reinstalling 2.40, flashing the stock sprint ROM, and then installing DCD 3.0.1. I did have to get a new Akey

can i install the new Sprint ROM , and load back the regular stock system ROM, and NOT use any of the NUE or DCD custom roms?

No, the original stock ROM will not work with the new radio. |

i really love my phone the way i have it set up now. i've been customizing it for weeks, and it works just great.. emails, mms, progs, regedits, etc... I've been doing a ton of reading and seems folks still have a myriad of issues with the DCD 3.0.1 ROM, and 2.3.2 may be a little more stable.. but i'm not a fan of having any issues whatsoever, so i just can't stop thinking to myself if a flash would even be worth it to me.. my main goal is just to enable GPS.. thats it. but i don't know if i'd be happy with a working GPS and a not-working 'other stuff', like so many people are posting about.. anyone have an opinion on a 'almost' stock looking new (verizon) rom, that would work with the new sprint radio ? i read so much about DCD and NUE, but if there are any others, they are buried and i've missed them.. i have OCD and i know i'd just be pulling my hair out over the next several weeks trying to hammer out all the little issues if i went with the 3.0.1 ROM... versus right now - with zero issues, but no GPS ![]() |

Re: How to upgrade an xv6800 with the new Sprint ROM
Thanks guys,
I followed these instructions and updated my phone to DCD. I had to call vzw to get them to reauthenticate my phone but seems to work now |
