Make sure you use the SECOND link, where it says New version 2.40. Quote:
When installing the hard-SPL unlocker, let the process run through to completion. If you do not, it will not be completely installed and you will have problems. |

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
First post...
My searching at this late hour has resulted in little gain. I've only gotten as far as the tri-colored screen, at which point, I disconnect the USB, and reconnect. When I do, the XP machine finds a Qualcomm CDMA Technologies device, and is looking for drivers - which of course it can't find. Consequently, I can't proceed, since the RUU can't reach the phone. A reset of the device gets me back to stock OS. This is a Sprint Mogul with latest OEM ROM - first attempt at unlocking/flashing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
I performed the sprint upgrade and then dcd's rom for qwest....When I configure my email settings I can get on line and check email but I have to configure it each time I want to check email....
Also, my phone doesn't ring....it will vibrate only for voicemail, not for an incoming call. It will continue to vibrate until I go to phone settings or do a soft boot.... I attempted to reload with the same problems....always do a soft boot but also a hard one to no avail. I also noticed my ESN (Decimal) has changed and although I have the sublock code, it won't allow me to edit it. I can edit other EPSN settings. Is anyone familiar with these problems and how to deal with them? I would be most appreciative for any help you can give me....thank you in advance... |

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
Thanks for the great info! I had a quick question I was hoping someone could help me out with. I have a XV6800. When you say:

I'm soooo excited about getting the GPS to work on the phone. RevA sounds awesome too! I guess it's still pretty risky business to modify the XV6800 (thanks to Verizon), right? |
