Could anyone please direct me to the proper step out of this mess?

Thank you in advance for your help.
Im getting the same 262 error.

I don't know why, but this is how I worked around this. Before I could successfully load the 3.16, I had to run the "unlocker". After I ran that, then the 3.16 processed and then I could do the DCD update. Like I said I don't know why, I just started playing around while waiting for a response. Hope this helps!

I'm currently on step #4. My problem is that when I attempt to run the Sprint 3.16 ROM I get a message in the cmd prompt that basically says I don't have enough memory. Is this referring to the memory on my 6800?

I'm on Verizon and am running a stock ROM (Never unlocked or flashed in any way before). The computer I'm using is running XP and I'm trying to update through ActiveSync and a USB cable.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Wow -- never seen that before. My guess (and it is exactly that) is that it is referring to
your computer. Try rebooting and then try again. Make sure you have all running apps
closed. Let us know.

I had tried rebooting last night when I first ran into the issue. The exact message that I get in the cmd prompt when I try and run 3.16 is "Program too large to fit in memory".

I think this is probably the same problem that Penuch is having that he posted about here.

UPDATE:
The problem was with the Sprint 3.16 ROM file from the first link in the 3.16 thread. I grabbed the 3.16 ROM from the RapidShare link and the update ran.

Now for the new problem. I get the 'Invalid Vendor ID' error at 0% when trying to update to the Sprint 3.16 ROM. Does this mean that Verizon phones can not use the Sprint 3.16 ROM to install the 3.27 radio and must install the 3.27 radio and custom ROM seperately?

I just flashed the dcd_titan 2.1 and the 3.27 radio Roms. My verizon phone will not stop rebooting unless I have it connected to the USB cable. Anybody know how to fix this?

Probably your custom dialer.

Quote:
Note 2. In some cases a custom dialer will keep you from performing
the following steps. To resolve this, you must do a hard reset.
This will completely reset your device back to it's defaults.

Note 3. To perform a hard reset, press and hold both soft keys and then
press and hold the reset button until a screen comes up asking if you
want to perform a full reset. Press 'R' to reset. Then press <spacebar>.

Note 4. Once your phone reboots, press the reset prior to the
customizations. This is only to save you time because there is no need for
the customizations to run at this point since you are about to blow it away.

Hmm...I just bought it a couple days ago. Only thing on it is Home Plugin. I don't recall, but I don't think it came with a custom dialer, did it?
