Help... I keep getting a text from 9114??? and its a long message with all letters and numbers and slashes??? Did my phone catch a virus or something cause i cant' recieve any phone calls or text messages unless i make a phone call...I reprogrammed my phone with TS and hard restted and everything else...I'm using no2 5048 rom. Has this happened to anyone else?

Have you tried replying with "cancel"? You can, also, go to Sprint.com and block the sender or call cs. Hope this helps.

Thanks I'm flashing all the way back to 2.17... when i tried replying it says user has chosen not to recieve text messages

I forget what its called, but do you have some desktop software on your PC that enables push email to your phone? If so, try disabling that and see if the text messages go away.

I had a similar problem years ago with Cingular when I had some similar software setup. It was trying to send a text message to tell my phone to sync as I had a new email waiting.

thanks... i wonder what others does, it seems like theres a huge difference (200) there, the other numbers seem within margin of error.., well. except sound.

I installed sprint mobile e mail...but uninstalled it because it didnt work to good... o well i'll be in the sprint store tomorrow lol

This is text, though, and uses the same channel as voice. Has nothing to do with data, like emails do. Also, I may be way out of line, but I'm pretty sure that any of these ROM's shouldn't have anything to do with unwelcomed text messages. Too bad you already flashed back. Shouldn't be necessary.
