I just wanted to thank No2Chem for giving me a brand new phone. This is the first custom ROM I've flashed and kept, and it's changed everything for me. This is now the phone I wanted when I bought it back in June. I've flashed my friend's ROM for him, too, and he feels the same way. Night and day difference.

I noticed that I can't even turn it on or off using the comm manager but I have the 10 button comm manager installed, I haven't had a chance to try it without...

alright!! 5041 is rockin!!
only a few issues left. 1: 5041 rom has green windows mobile splash screen on boot, however basekit shows blank white screen during the time the splash should display. resolved issue by copying 3 folders containing redist_dpi from sys from rom to sys in basekit. 2: extended rom is still not running/visable from total commander using \extended_rom. this is on either rom or basekit. 3: commanager (10 button) doesnt turn irda on/off 4: Unknown device on Internet explorer for sprint homepage (browser.dll?) Appears issue noted below (6.1 task manager icon in system settings tab) works fine in basekit. just noting Windows live was not included in last basekit in SYS_OPTIONAL =] That is all I have found, ran several applications, internet works, no lockups! EDIT: Added stuffs Last edited by superevilllama; 02-06-2008 at 04:23 PM. |

I like the splash screen how it is in 5041 :P
Why does it need an ExtROM at all? Just for the IOTA cab? I think 5041 is freakin awesome! The only 2 issues I have remaning are the IR issue and the issue with the folders and shorcuts in the start menu refreshing and stuff. Major props for No2Chem!!!!! EDIT: 3 glitch, the 6.1 Task Manager icon in the system settings tab isn't correct, it's a pixelated version of the regional settings icon instead of the correct task manager icon that looks like a PC screen with the green graph on it. NEVERMIND! It appears to be fine upon fresh install, I think installing the HTC Task Manager is causing it to screw up because both shortcut icons have the same name or something. I like being able to access memory the phone has, which includes extended rom. If its there needs to be functional. But I know no2chem can resolve this, and he definitely has made an incredible rom/base. |
