This is exciting. THe only thing that's really killing me is the lack of USB activesync right now. I'm waiting with abaited breath for the cooked ROM with GPS, REV. A, and good video drivers!!

I installed the ROM without a hitch and love it (original 1st link posted). I'm not quite sure I want to keep my Mogul, so what steps need to be taken to remove all traces of this "unofficial" update. (When I originally got the Mogul it had the 2.09 ROM, I then flashed it to 2.17; no other changes have been made).

Thanks

For the score card, working great here, was using 2.17 with 1.40 radio. Relocked... flashed, stalled all of about 2 minutes on 11% with usb disconnects but it resumed quickly. I never did any hard reset. Indoors in a 2 story building and getting 4 satellites. The phone works. Data works. My washing machine still works too....

I spent about 5 hours thru out the day trying to install and threw everything I could at it to no avail. Followed instruction but could never get past 1% installing rom after I did the relocker. Maybe I will try again later but the installer should not be that horrible to cause this many probs. Yes I have xp. Glad its just a test rom. Sprint would be in deep Sh%T if the general public not so computer savy wanted to update this rom.
Oh yeah-my radio is gone now too. HAHA I love it ****laughing in frustration****

DOn't bother wil Alltel 6800

If you own a Alltel 6800 (unlocked to Olipro 1.20 and updated to Sprint stock 2.17 ROM), don't bother with this ROM. It will not install. I tried 5-6 times. Each time, it installed to 11% and then the PPC will re-start the bootloader. I do not own a Sprint version so I cannot say whether it works for Sprint.

After reading all day, and trying out the new rom, I am very happy with it.

BUT, I am already missing the goodies from the kitchen!

This forum rocks!

READ THE THREAD

the issue you are having has been seen by MANY and a workaround has been made, and to say "I say cannot whether it works for Sprint." is just plain silly. Please read before posting.
