Anybody having trouble with their email? When I try to check my yahoo mail through the messaging link it goes through the Logging On, Receiving Folders and stops at Recvng headers, then it says "Messages cannot be downloaded...make sure you are connected and email acct setting are correct"

Any ideas?

I can access the net fine, but I use my phone for email a lot.

FYI - it lists my folder list just fine, just won't download messages.

GPS works great. You have to use any software such as google map, live search, which recognize windows intermedial gps driver to initialize built-in chip, then tomtom can get the signals from the com4.

Tried using it while driving in heavy rain, worked fine.

However overall much less reliable compared to 2.17. I am going back to 2.17 until the official release is out.

Well, initial impressions are mixed. My only experience so far is with 2.09 so I'm hardly an expert. Also I know this is a test ROM so I can only expect so much.

GPS works in some places and in others I can be outside and not get any signal. I'll experiment in other locations over the course of the weekend.

I've been slowly adding back the basic software that I use and so far all I have is x-button 2.0 (which doesn't seem to work the way it used to), s2u2, HHC, and java/opera mini.

The phone has frozen on me a few times where the s2u2 screen will come up and I can't get the power button or the screen to do anything. Also, the x-button isn't closing things by default when I 'X' them out anymore. I can still drop down the menu and end tasks but it used to just close programs by default when I hit the 'X'. Maybe it's something I just haven't set up yet.

I never tried any other ROMs so I can't tell how much is just my setup or the change from what I'm used to in 2.09.

All I can say is WOW!

You guys are the best. I'm constantly impressed by the amazing amount of time that everyone spends working on this stuff.

I installed the update tonight, absolutely no problems. It actually seems a bit faster than 2.17. I'm not positive I agree with the previous post about it not being that stable. Seems fine to me.

One thing I DID notice is that I'm not positive this is Rev A. My understanding is that with Rev A you can be on a call and download at the same time. I'm not able to do that. Has anyone else tried this?

Has anyone noticed any changes other then the task manager and extras from Sprint? Maybe we should compile a list?

Again! Thanks everyone! I appreciate your work very much!

Rev.A has the call/data simultaneous feature, but it has to be supported by the carrier. Basically you would be using data along with VOIP or a cdma equalivency. This is evdo rev.A. Sprint just doesn't support anything like this.
