yeah...I haven't been messing around with kernels yet or loading up different roms. I've only rooted to gain tethering. Since this is my second Epic I'm trying to leave it as stock as possible right now to see what I can squeeze out of it....that is I haven't removed any of the Sprint bloatware right now.

well your doing good imo so i dont think your missing much. i do get better life with amdromada kernal.

can more people please post home screens in the sticky thread by coz, man i wanna see what you guys are rockin. psa over

hmm..I searched this topic and I'm surprised no one mentioned this:

Turn off/down the Haptic feedback..it won't help when idle but when actually using the phone.. Haptic feedback=drains energy >.>

Just an update to my previous post: Now at 33 hours and 22 minutes, still at 24% battery! So with the right tweaks, apparently the Epic is capable of epic battery performance.

I thought that was a given...along with turn off the "click" sounds...turn down screen brightness, etc.

Make sure you guys install Spare Parts from the market....it will really help with diagnosing your battery use, etc.

Well to some people this is their first android device...so we can't assume anything is a given :/ lol

I find that if I remove that battery completely and place the phone on a cool, dry shelf the battery will last for darn near a week!

lol, these threads always kill me with what some people say there getting out of a single charge. keeps getting better, im at 48hrs still at 70%. lol

lucky u...my battery is getting batter after the update...i use to have to put it on the charger around 5 now i can go the whole day without needing to charge it..i hope the next update improves the battery also
