You might want to be careful when you say "anything". There are some associated files in the lib folder that go with the apk's in the app folder. Make sure you know what you are deleting.

Can you add stuff too. For example the 5 MB mms application and delete the standard mms application or add all the applications that is currently on your phone to make the installation of your phone faster and have your tried doing this yourself to see if it will work? If this works then I will create a folder on my computer and everytime a new edition of the midnight rom comes out with a new modem, I will copy all of my paid and free applications into the folder and start fresh.

I have a question?

On XDA you posted that you must be on DI18 to flash EC05 modem. Is this true with going from EB13 and flashing with the files provided in the EC05 rom package released 3/21/11. I used Odin to flash the EC05 modem and received a pass that it installed. Or did I get a false positive from Odin?

I think that's just if you are using the EC05 update.

Yes you can. Just make sure you get all of the dependencies or you might get fc's.

I went from EB13 to EC05. I believe you can odin from any modem to another modem. But, some roms don't work well with some modems.

Odin is always a complete rewrite so yes you can be on anything.

update.zip method is only the changes hence you need the previous version.

After re-flashing MidNIGHT ROM 4.2, I now cannot get voice command (very important to me). Any suggestions?

Possibly related. I cannot cannot get past Google authorization, that is when they give you those strange shape words to type in, I think I can type it correctly, but it keeps on coming back. I try it several times a day. I finally keep on pressing on OK, with the space blank and it eventually goes away. Any ideas how to fix these problem? Never ends.
I am not sure the GPS is working, It cannot find my location. Worked before with 4.2. maybe it is related. Thanks!

your either got a bad dl of rom or your restoring a corrupt backup. your having lots of issues lately so i would start from scratch and dl rom over and flash.

Try upgrading to the EC05 modem and the midnight v5 rom. If you are going to start from scratch. You will not regret it.
