You got a point there. maybe if I just keep on doing it over and over again I can get this down right. Too bad I have a job or I can just do this full time

Whining aside, I was advised a few days ago, the last time I flashed 4.2, not to go to new modem and v5 because there are issues. Am i going from the frying pan into the fire or is it an improvement? I know there is always something until Samsung deals with some basic issues with its ROM, bit I'd like to make progress and even go a whole week with an issue. Thanks!

Re: [ROM] midNIGHT ROM v5 (BYOR Edition)/(FULL Standard Edition) 3/21/2011

So, I posted a thread begging for a fix for the camera, I HATE that it is disabled when the battery goes below 15%. Is there any way we can get in there and fix this?

i don't have a solution to that fix necessarily but i know that if you get Retro Cam it doesn't follow the below 15% rule and takes some sweet pictures.

the workaround isn't great if I want to take video, or just a standard photo without all types of effects, or if I'm in another app (Facebook, pix messaging, etc..) and it wants to launch the camera....

Re: [ROM] midNIGHT ROM v5 (BYOR Edition)/(FULL Standard Edition) 3/21/2011

I hate to call upon you guys again, but I just flashed v5 three times and each time first I wiped data/factory reset and wiped cache partitions three times and I just get FCs starting with the setup screen. I can go straight to v5 from v4.2 with EB13 can't I? I didn't restore any backups.

I am going to try going back to 4.2 until I get a better idea of what is wrong. Thanks.

Update: v4.2 flashed with no problems so far.

Yes you can...try a format of your sd card....then wipe and reflash...only keep what you absolutely need...blow everything else out....android, lost, etc...

Hey setCPU users, what are your settings? I purchased setCPU a few midnightROM's ago, set it to 1.2 max .2 min conservative, and it has always caused freezes across all versions of the ROM. Is anyone else seeing this? If not, what am I doing wrong?

I run the same settings. You didn't change the kernel did you?

Never changed the kernel. Right now I throttled it down so it's not overclocked and set the scaler to 'on demand' and I'm not seeing any freezes...
