Where did you get the idea that you have to flash 4.0 first?

Re: [ROM] midNIGHT ROM v4.2 (BYOR Edition) 3/9/2011

Hi,

I have Clockwork Mod version 3.0.0.5 already loaded since I flashed midnight ROM 3.3. Do I need to upgrade Clockwork Mod 3.0.0.5/6?

How do I make sure I am EB13 ready?

FYI--Instruction# 3 on Rob's Android Development page for the ROM 4.2 states:
"Copy the midNIGHT ROM v4.0 (BYOR Edition) to your SD card." I assume he meant 4.2 to clarify
Anon9mouz's question.

Thanks, GD

Anon9mouz's question.

Thanks, GD
Yes you need to upgrade. CW3 is EXT4 and will convert your phone.

Just Odin to stock EB13 and then use One-Click Root w/ Clockwork 3.0.0.6
Then flash midNIGHT 4.2

And yes, I think the 4.0 thing is a typo.

There is no logical reason to need 4.0. 4.2 has a completely new base on it.

Clearly the 4.0 was a type-o. You should be good now.
