Now since it came out all there is is just the cooked roms to incorperate the new cfo3. Is there a chance that maybe this rom can be built from the ground up since we now have a complete rom to go from. It would be cool to here some ideas no matter how weird or stupid anybody can come up with that can wake up this forum again. Get the thinkers thinking and do something that is not coming from xda. Do something original. Experimental, and amazing.
Well in 11 days we will find out if the Rumors are true about the Omnia II coming out...there's something for u to do...if ur bored...if it actually comes out...if u wanna spend the money...

In a standard day (yesterday even), I've use my phone to:

scan in a business card and add it to my contact list
listened to streaming audio on Pandora
watched a storm roll in on radarlove
goofed around with pointui
created yet another WAD2 theme
read a contract sent in mail via PDF
took a picture of a problem device and sent it to client via mail
used Google maps to navigate in strange areas of town
updated facebook
used google translator to attempt to impress one of the office girls with my faux bi-lingual-ness.
surfed countless websites
took a few dozen more pictures
and most importantly... use ICS to get my laptop online outside of the office, all throughout the day...

It's a wonderful device, and I only use about half of it's features. I've messed around with barcode scanning, skype, videos, and editing video on the phone (not bad for a phone based editor), but don't use them daily. I don't play games on it, or use it as an mp3 player... but it's everything I need in the palm of my hand.

latest WAD2 theme. It's simple & sharp and all on one screen. I like it:
i realy like the way u did your phone.... would you please let me know how u did it.... and what are you using to read barcode? i did hear about some s/w that if you scan barcode you can find pricing on the web
i would love to find something like that
thanks

Re: Omnia I910 Now What?

I didnt mean the cookes romes are all the same. I meant there each pretty much set in ther ways. I was refering to Fresh ideas. Oh my big idea was just to start this thread and see what people come up with. I am not a computer programer. Before i became a longshoremen, I was in my twentys a functional glass artist for well over ten years. I understand the limitations of what you working with limits ideas being a reality and it was one of the reasons i stoped. It was not for money even though it was good. I was limited by the lathe i was working on as to how big and how fresh i made something. I felt i mastered my skills to the point where i was sick of it and it became like a job. The thing is i know i could do more but needed fresh ideas. Fresh ideas that fit into the physics of what you can do with glass. You cant just think of somthing and have it come out like you want. there has to be a procedure and steps to get to the outcome. But at the same time sometimes ideas that came from a person with out that knowledge turned out to be great ideas. Maybe i should offer a cash award for a certian amount of timelimit like a month or so to the best idea that becomes real. Have a poll to see who wins. Offer a good prize like atliest $100 or more.

The theme is a WAD2 theme... You need Wisbar Advance Desktop 2.2 (www.lakeridgesoftware.com) for the theme to work. I can post it there or here if anyone wants it.

For barcode reading, there's a program call Barcorama that I use. It is linked somewhere in the forums here with instructions how to set it up for froogle or other price comparison sites...
