Re: Working aGPS Solution!

At best.
At worst, every time you want to use GPS. Only takes a second. I havent had an hour, much less a week to test it

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

Well....I installed both GoogleMaps and this app to My Memory and it downloaded info fine (not very finger-friendly though) and then I opened GoogleMaps and couldn't get a GPS lock at all. I will try moving things around a bit and keep at it. I have been having GPS issues lately anyway, so it may be me. I will keep testing though.

Ok, this is what you do.

This program downloads a list of sattelite locations (up to a week). Google Maps can read these locations. I have not tested with other apps yet. Its basic. The GUI sucks. It cannot even establish its own internet connection, so provide it!

1. Download and install cab.
2. If GPS wasnt set to location on, set it to location on, and soft reset.
3. Establish a net connection. Opening IE is fine.
4. Open Q-GPS. Click download.
5. It will say succeeded when done.
6. Open Gmaps, and configure it.
7. Set it to Use GPS.

Thats it!

It isnt always as quick as I like--my last test took 30 seconds to cold lock.

Give it a shot!
It "seems" to work with WLS as well... About 30 seconds or so.. Definitely faster than before... Good find!! Need to build into your ROMs now!
