Re: Working aGPS Solution!
Right from the start it was tossed around that it would be something simple, but the problem is that you have to be smart + skilled enough to know where to look and what can possibly be changed to give the results you want....a simple solution that takes a lot of skill to find!!

Re: Working aGPS Solution!
Ok.
So here is the deal. Its not real aGPS. Its more akin to GPS_Xtra, which i900 users use. Ok, this is what you do. This program downloads a list of sattelite locations (up to a week). Google Maps can read these locations. I have not tested with other apps yet. Its basic. The GUI sucks. It cannot even establish its own internet connection, so provide it! 1. Download and install cab. 2. If GPS wasnt set to location on, set it to location on, and soft reset. 3. Establish a net connection. Opening IE is fine. 4. Open Q-GPS. Click download. 5. It will say succeeded when done. 6. Open Gmaps, and configure it. 7. Set it to Use GPS. Thats it! It isnt always as quick as I like--my last test took 30 seconds to cold lock. Give it a shot! Update 7/6 This is a link to the modded HTC Quick GPS app. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=157 Last edited by Adrynalyne; 07-07-2009 at 01:02 PM. |

Re: Working aGPS Solution!
Note when I tested it, gmaps and q-gps were installed to Device. That may or may not make a difference.
