Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

I ran this before my first attempt at locking GPS since flashing Adr 3.9 and it didn't seem to help at all on that initial lock (I had to go outside and still took between 5-10 minutes).

After getting this initial 1st time GPS lock I did a soft reset and every subsequent lock came within 30 seconds. This may explain some of the mixed results people may be having.

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

The whole GPS thing just isn't working for me and it's the whole reason I flashed originally.

I have yet to get a connection once. I've tried GPS today, and now this. I've switched the settings on my phone to location on and Com8 57600, I've walked to central park during lunch, yesterday...I was taking a ferry from Delaware to NJ and tried it on the wide open dock without a cloud in the sky and STILL couldn't get a signal. It'll just say "Seeking GPS satellites" for an extended period of time and then I'll get a pop up that says weak GPS signal. Wether Im in central park, my office, my house or in a wide open space

If i'm getting this pop up am I supposed to just keep retrying it until I get it?

I feel like I've gotta be missing a step or something somewhere.

I did a hard reset between each test.

Each one was a cold lock.

yeah sometimes it is just a pain. In general the city isn't a great place to do it as the buildings get in the way. I live in Jersey and only really get that weak signal thing on cloudy days and inside my house sometimes. Just find a nice wide open area and don't move for like 10 minutes.

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

TomTom7 seems to grab a GPS lock MUCH quicker, about 1 minute instead of 3.
