Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

lioryte.... gmaps does that to me on occasion... I think it's getting a gps lock and while the map is moving to the position, it loses lock so it just resets the map to a default location. It amused me, I got a lock that was accurate within 1500 meters or something. Just to see, I did a search for a restaurant and it said the closest one was in Orlando, Fl. The funny thing, I'm in North Alabama.

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

I think if you zoom out you will see that you are in the ocean off Africa; right on the Equator and the Greenwich line. In other words at 0 lat 0 long which is what the gps initially reports.

FYI the new Saga ROM with the unlocked vzw gps also has unlocked tower info. GM can get an instant my location fix using cell id. Great find on the Emphemerous data apps to speed up the gps. They work on the Saga too.

This is good to know. Perhaps if Verizon ever decides to release the update we will be able to use aGPS also.

Re: (Possibly) Working aGPS Solution!

Unbelievable! As soon as Adrynalyne gets my gps working good, Verizon decides to unlock vz nav lol. My life is now complete! Im in my room and Vznav just found me. This is awesome, I love knowing I can use vznav if I really need it, just in case I happen to be in some weird area where google maps doesnt work. Judging by my experience with Adrynalyn's new cabs though, I doubt I will be needing it much.
