yeah I have not been getting any more quick locks since that fast one yesterday and I tried both apps.

Ok, here is why this doesn't work.

I am still investigating the qpgs app, because its downloading non standard info.

The app cooked into my roms downloads a standard file, just like it should. Its called packedephemeris.ee and is stored in \Windows.

The problem is, our gps is not unpacking the file, and therefore NOT using the information.

So I feel like a real idiot right now. Im still investigating the qpgs app.

Wow. That cant be. My gps has been working like never before. I swear. You know how many problems I used to have with it. Its gotta be something you did. And don't say you feel like an idiot, you have made more progress on this and many other issues than anyone has!

Both the first and the second you gave us. I remember the first one the quick gps, I had ran it and went outside my job and got a lock after a minute or so, that might have been a fluke. After that, I think you had uploaded the second one, the GPS Quick Position and I would run that one, and I think at one point I ran the other one again because it happened to be easier for me to get to at the moment, since i had made a shortcut to it. Also, I did that registry edit you mentioned. PLease tell me Im not going crazy lol

yeah my quick fix yesterday was with the first one qgps...the second one I did not get a fast lock at all, infact I didn't get a lock at all before giving up. now since using that second program, is there a file in windows that I have to delete now since it is not being used??
