Re: Get Wifi Tethering working on the Verizon Omnia I910
How do you do this? I have both ICS and WMWifiRouter, free version, and I can't get an internet connection with just using ICS by itself either with the USB or BT. Please explain how you manage this. Also, when I use either PDANet or WMWifiRouter I get terribly slow internet speeds, unless I start IE or Opera on the phone in the background, then connect WMWifiRouter. It is like something is not allowing the EVDO connection to get made unless the browser is open, then it's pretty fast. Thanks for any help with this.

Tethering is useful when you have a device that runs via wi-fi and you want to run it away from a hot-spot, basically creating a mobile hot-spot. I used to use mint to play around with my iTouch while waiting for the kids in my car, or to use the internet on my laptop while camping. It does have its uses, but unless you really have a need or specific use in mind, this wouldn't be for you.....but if you do....this works GREAT!!!! |
