Re: Get Wifi Tethering working on the Verizon Omnia I910

What backup app do you recommend?

Also is there a speed difference between bluetooth tethering and the wifi link?

Thanks.

leland_jr...doesn't the app show in the remove app screen? I would think you should be able to remove it through there.

Thanks. Using SPB. Haven't put anything on yet... Just wondering how this compares to bluetooth tethering. New to WM... Been using bluetooth on my enV previously and was fine w/ that. Is that not possible using WM?

It hasn't happened to me (yet) but is the story going around at HOFO.

There is also a story of a guy with a 300 dollar data charge for going over it.

$300 is nothing, some poor guy got charged $28,000 (not a typo) in Miami harbor for watching a football game on his data card!!

Re: Get Wifi Tethering working on the Verizon Omnia I910

His team did win (don't remember who it was, I just saw the article on engadget)

Is there any way to put a password on the wifi signal? I haven't tried linking 2 computers up to my phone's signal but I assume it could work and if so, I really would like to encrypt the signal so that I don't have random people leaching my internet.

If I remember correctly it's part of the testing procedure of ICS to share by cable before installing WMWifiRouter.

Or just go to Post #1 of This Thread.
