Re: Any hope of GPS unlock for Verizon Omnia?
Ah, crap... Tried to d/l the ROM 3 times now with the same results - the phone will not connect to Verizon. Essentially used Wireless Manager to turn on phone, which will never turn on. Despite what others have said, the phone seems slower, almost like i'm out of mem. And when I go to the Version Info page under the System menu, it lists "N/A" for ROM vers, Modem vers, H/W Vers, Prl Vers and WDC. WLAN Mac is 00b6c9779a6.
Any help, guys? Thanks in advance. B |

Re: Any hope of GPS unlock for Verizon Omnia?
WTF...reflashed a 4th time. Same results so far - the phone now plays the 3 tones when I try to turn on the phone, but still won't connect to VZW. Version info now displays ROM S:i910.1.0V.CC20.20961, BT Mac 00233ac544fa, WLAN Mac 000b6c9779a6. Everything else is "N/A". Will try again...
Oh, and all files came from idoctor's links and I have been following the install pdf there to a T. *crosses fingers* B Update - flashed the phone another 8 times or so and still stuck at this juncture. Version info went back to N/A for all for a while, but just got it back to the info above without doing anything, really. Guess i'll take it back to Verizon tomorrow to see if they can flash it back to factory spec. I just don't get it... Last edited by B96v6; 05-31-2009 at 06:32 PM. |

Re: Any hope of GPS unlock for Verizon Omnia?
I just found in another reply about radio rom that you can dial *22801 for verizon i tried it, it worked. *22803 is for sprint I am assuming you dialed *228 option 1 and check to see if your network settings are right. If that does not work Check to see what your esn number is and try option 3 i think, or open up an account on verizon .com and set up your account and manually try it that way.

you need a new phone. I had the same problem...phone kept disconnecting and version said n/a...even after reflashing did the same and I could get it to work for short periods by taking the battery out for like a half hour, but got a warranty replacement and now I am all good.

I just came back to this thread so if I missed an earlier post forgive me. You must flash CC20 first or you will have symptoms similar to those you're having. Edit: If you take your phone in and they find you have flashed you will be SOL. If you got the phone from a store you might want to brick it first. If you got it online you can have a replacement sent no charge. Ted

Re: Any hope of GPS unlock for Verizon Omnia?
I am trying to flash CC20. I have downloaded it 4 times from 2 different hosts. Messed with it a little more last night, but no new updates. I'm trying two more things before I resort to contacting Verizon (computer with USB 2.0 port and different UMDL version). Luckily, I did buy it online in November when it first came out and have a warranty on it.
Thanks for everyone's help (or lack thereof so far!). Brandon |
