Does anyone have all the Sprint bloatware apk's? I actually like the nfl and nascar and the Sprint navigation...I did some searching but as usual I must not be searching the right stuff.

Sprint DD03 2.1 tar w/ joeykrim recovery

Sprint DD03 2.1 Update.zip

Sprint CL14 Update Utility

For instructions, go to this How To

ROM Flashing (Step 1)

For Recovery 2.+ Console
Copy update*.zip to the root of your sdcard
Power off phone
Press & hold Vol down, talk(green) & end(red) buttons until boot logo displays
Select Apply zip from SD and select update*.zip
Reboot when done or flash the restore tar

Restore Flashing (Step 2)

For Recovery 2.+ Console
Copy data_backup*.tar to the root of your sdcard
Power off phone
Press & hold Vol down, talk(green) & end(red) buttons until boot logo displays
Select Data options, then Restore and select data_backup*.tar
Reboot when done

MAKE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING ANYTHING

AS THIS ROM WILL ERASE EVERYTHING!!!

I am using a 2.x (it says Android System recovery 2.0) recovery, atleast that is what it tells me( rooted with zelfie 14.3 or something another lol). What is the difference between a System backup and a data backup? I notice there is a "System" and a "data" section in the recovery console. I did both but which one do I really need to do. I rooted my 1.5 setup and then did a backup afterwards. Do I need to keep both in case I want to flash back to cl14? Please forgive me if I sound like an idiot but I am new to the Android scene and loving it. I could read for WEEKS it seems like.

The reason why I am posting in this thread is because this sweet 2.1 rom is my next step. USB Cable and Moment in hand. Feels like the good ole' TP2 days.

I have all the Sprint bloatware on the sdcard in my Moment, which my wife now uses. I will grab them tonight and throw them on my FTP server and post a link back here for you.

You can do a recovery backup for returning to where you are now, should you not want to run Calk's ROM. That said...

1. Download and flash Calk's ROM.
2. Download and flash the kernel of your choice (Zeife, Joey or Speedrabbit).
3. Remove the crap that you don't want with the CLI root commands.
4. Enjoy your Moment way more than you do now.

If you decide to go back, just flash the CL14 update and then do a recovery restore and you are right back where you were before flashing Calk's ROM.

When doing a backup, should I backup both system and data? Whats the difference? I did both and then just dropped them in a folder on my SD card in case I wanted to go back to my current setup.

To be honest, I don't know. I usually just go all silly and I only ever used to flash and hope for the best with my Moment. With my Hero I do a Nandroid backup before I flash new stuff, but I'm not that sure of the difference.

Do both. If you revert back to 1.5, at least you have all your system settings right where you left them and set to the way you like it. Do a data backup too so you don't need to redownload all the 1.5 apps again. After the backup, you need to remove or copy your backup to your PC as installing 2.1 DD03 first could wipe your SD card. Best to just put all the files on your PC anyway for safe-keeping. YOU NEED TO INSTALL DD03 FIRST! Sorry, but you do, to be able to flash the DD10 with all the cool wallpapers, etc. Good Luck!
