Has any one thought about the other markets? While iPhone and WinMo have been fighting, it gives a chance to RIM and the crap phones to catch up. You know the PC and Mac commercials? Well, soon they might be making iPhone and winmo commercials.

actually, i feel like in any magazine etc that reviews smartphones, windows mobile is barely a second thought. it's always about iphone, android, and symbian. in pcworld, which is supposed to be about, ahem, pc's, i've seen one article mentioning windows mobile in the year or so i've had a subscription. even wired magazine had a cover story a few months back about having fun with your phone's gps and not a single windows mobile app was mentioned.

Fox Business did a 'PDA' review, HTC Touch Pro, Blackberry Storm, iPhone, and I cant remember the 4th phone, but HTC got the best review saying the only 'con' against it, was that it was hard to master. Storm and iPhone both got less than desireable reveiws....

I had an Iphone 3G until about 3 months ago when I switched over to TP under Sprint. Lets me be honest, the Iphone blows everything away. The problem I had was the ATT service was terrible and kept having missed calls and the iPhone plan with the $30 data connection plus 20 bucks for text was too expensive. I got the Sprint Sero and so my bill is half the price with triple the minutes plus they gave me a free aircard because of bad signal area.

About the TP vs Iphone, with the stock Sprint Touch Pro, it’s a joke in comparison to the Iphone. Now, using the TP with WM6.5 using the newest Mighty Mikes MR5, its not so bad. The TP is still no match for the Iphone, but the WM6.5 makes it a lot better. I wish they had an Iphone using Sprint on the Sero plan, I would jump to it in a heartbeat. If ATT wasn’t so stupid, they would lower their prices and improve there coverage, I would go back to the Iphone. I’m sorry guys, I’ve been into WM phones since my original 02 XDA, but trust me, the Iphone is miles and miles ahead. MS got too lazy and didn’t take the smartphone business serious until Apple got into it and now they are playing catchup.

i can agree with most of that but what people have to realize is that the iphone is a multi-media device whereas a touch pro is a pocket pc.
