Re: iPhone users

Coming from a person who had the Mogul then the Touch Pro and just switched to the 3Gs i can tell you that both have their strengths and weaknesses. If you are a person who is really into customizing your device, don't bother with the iphone. It is what it is and there is no real changing that, even with jailbreaking the only thing you really get is different icons and backgrounds. The availability of apps is one of my selling points, which hopefully microsoft can pull off with the Marketplace.

The people who state the iphone isnt a business phone are off track IMO. I have my gmail, business email, and Novel groupwise email are syncing with my phone and it works perfect. People like Novel are working on actual mobile syncing capabilities for ALL mobile devices which makes it so much easier to. with the broad range of apps you can find something to fill almost every need you have. if not, chances are someone somewhere is working on it.

Simply put though, if you want a phone that just works, the iphone is it. I've had it 3 weeks now and not had to reset it, power cycle, or anything. It does what it is built for. The voice control is amazing, and when it gets bluetooth support in 3.1 it will be even better. And with push now out i have an IM client that stays connected all the time and alerts me of messages, just as i had on my TP. For now, my phone of choice is sticking with the iphone. Hopefully with the improvements in hardware and such and the hopeful potential of windows mobile 7 we will start to see a real healthy competition between the companies. Until then, ill stick with this. I've seen both sides of the fence and this is just my 2 cents

LOL, isn't that a basic on pretty much every phone from the cheap ones to the expensive ones?

Re: iPhone users

The iphone has always had bluetooth. I think he is talking about stereo bluetooth. I thought it had that already..... Maybe thats why it was having issues with my car

Re: iPhone users

no, what i was referring to is that currently in 3.0 when you hold down the call/answer button on a bluetooth headset the phone does nothing. A really stupid thing on apple's part, which they are rectifying in 3.1 so that when you do that, it activates voice control to work over bluetooth. When i discovered it didnt work on bluetooth i was completely baffled by that. and it does have stereo bluetooth as long as you are updated to 3.0 now.

Re: iPhone users

This is sort of like asking which team is better, the Redsox of the Yankeess in a Redsox forum (or vice versa)... or what truck is better Chevy or Ford in a Ford forum.

There have been plenty of good objective posts but just understand that there aren't that many iphone fans here.

Re: iPhone users

You speak of email; however, there are those of us who use more than email while working. For me the ability to do email, have a couple of Excel spread sheets open (Excel & Documents To Go) and have a database application open (HanDBase) is important. I rarely listen to noise, though I do have Kinoma & pTunes (both paid) installed). Multitasking in a business environment is why I left the Palm OS - its applications are great, but 1 at a time is not efficient.
