Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!

YA..... i was with vzn for 4 years. Back then they were charging me 99.99 for 1 line with 750 shared minutes and data. Pic mail and text was extra. So everytime someone fired me off a text it would cost me .25 cents automatically... You could not imagine how pisst off i was at all my friends who text me just to bill up my bill! So I had 2 lines so it cost me 237.87 a month on average. And thats if I used up the 750 shared minutes with my gf. I felt soo gimped. The I found sero. OMG! Best thing ever. My bill went from 237.87 to 74.54. All all the perks included! Weeeeeeeeee

I just asked to be let out of my contract as they had no service in my area anymore.

They sold a bunch of their towers in an effort to raise cash. The concept was to lease them back, BUT, as we all know, if you don't make payments, Da Repo Man Come Get Ya!

Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!

Here are the summary of criple features that verizon did:

1) less memory: save equipment cost
2) no TF3D
3) disable GPS: to make more monthly charge on their GPS
4) No Youtube: force customers to use their content and to make more money on their content
5) More money: $50 more
6) no headphone
7) no screen protector
no Hoster
9) retarded keyboard layout
10) required to pay $30 data option for all smart/pda phones.

This is an example of corporate greed. verzion tried to milk more money from their customers who fall into their ad of "The Network". they treat their customers like dummy, again.

regular customer won't know these facts. only educated users are aware of this who can use ebay 30% cashback and buy sprint Pro to run on verizon network.

Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!

To add to this, a girl who worked for me for years is now married to a sprint exec.

When asked by a friend about cell service, I have heard him say "you didn't hear this from me, but sprints coverage sucks. If you want the absolute best network, go with verizon"

Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!

can you take an alltel or a sprint version of the 6850 and take a verizon version xv6850 and swap the ram if you know how to disassemble them both and solder? or is it possible to do this at all, i highly doubt it but the though just popped into my head. or what about taking the gsm version of the phone and turning it into a cdma by changing the com radio so you could still have the two cameras and fm radio? or could you just add the radio hardware to the cdma version? this is all just a question that even seems rediculous to me and im the one asking but im just wondering because im pretty good at soldering b/c im an electrician. but i still have no idea if this is possible or if its just a dream, if it's possible, then you could take a cdma radio out of the alltel touch pro and put it in the touch hd gsm version and use it. now theres a really big concept but who wouldn't try it if they could, i know i would, just dont have the money to shell out to attempt to **** up a perfectly good hd, i already have the alltel pro and like it but would love the fm radio and camera on front. why can't htc just make a phone that has a full radio that supports normal cdma bands, all gsm, and wcdma and the wimax network and make the carriers who want the phone sign a contract where they can't cripple the phone or downgrade it in any way shape or form and must come with all included accessories that htc ships out. then instead of focusing on making 8 different versions of a phone with 12 different parts per phone, they could focus on building newer phone models and more technology, like maybe a phone like the hd that supports all network bands, has a slide out keyboard but no thicker than the touch pro(hopefully thinner) that has all the features it has now, except with a glass or better screen, 1gb ram, 4gb rom, and microsdhc, 8mp camera on back, and 3.2mp camera on front for vid call and vid chat, IR port, a high quality high volume speaker and speakerphone speaker(maybe even contract with some company like creative to make the speaker), a 1600MHZ processor so the phone goes as fast as a damn xp netbook, a biometric fingerprint reader somewhere on device, whether on back or on side or on front near bottom even if it reduced screen size would be bad ***, and as far as battery life goes. i think every battery company should be sued or charged with some criminal charge, they have every bit of technology and every bit of resources available to them to make a battery that lasts 3 times as long for a quarter of what we pay them for the batteries we get now and make them just as small if not smaller than current batteries, the only reason for them not providing it is because they want to control the markets and have slow progression to suck more money out of the market that could be spent on newer products or better things. ****in capitalism sucks ****

Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!

Thats how I feel when phones get locked. It suks big time. Only thing this leads is more profit for the company in which is smart. But the customers are left with the bill. I bet next time vzn releases another ppc... they will call it SUper 6850. And advertise it as GPS enabled, 256 ram, and includes HEADSET!!.. And ppl will flock to it. Its like streatching technology for profit, again which is good for company but bad for consumers. Luckily there is compatition and theres sprint,alltel,att..... in which they rather give the phone as is with its full potential and not rob it to same the specs for the next phone.

Re: Sprint Pro vs. Vzn Pro vents!

Well I just found another major shortcoming on the TP from The Communist Company:

Outlook does not integrate with the Navigator. I have to copy customer information to paper and then type it all back in.

I think I am putting this up on a review site somewhere...
