Problem I see with the iphone is the size of it. It you somehow brick it... then you have rights to brag in how you cinderblocked it.

This is the deal:

iPhone doesnt have a keyboard.. I don't type that much so it wouldn't bother me.
The MAJOR issue is AT&T, way overpriced, only decent reception.
If/when iPhone comes to Sprint, I just might get one.

For me, the iPhone is a phone much like the instinct is a phone along with all the flip phones and everything else. get my point? It's a phone granted it does some cooler things that the rest of them but wait, yep.. still ust a phone that does some cool useless things.

The touch pro on the other hand is a device. You can do with it whatever you wish. It doesn't have a big flashy screen or a capacitive touch screen or fancy graphics but from a power users standpoint, it's function over form.

That however, is just my $0.02

i use my iphone for games...way better than tp. and iphone has a lot of games..plus i use as my ipod to look cool..lol

And WinMobile doesn't have a lot of games? lol

As for the ongoing discussion... someone who carries 2 devices and doesn't even activate one of them isn't going to be able to provide good insight into the needs of someone who is looking for the better of the two devices as an all-in-one solution.

iPhone's nice, it comes down to versatility and your specific needs and preferences.

console type gaming shouldnt be an issue..thats why we have psp or Nds. doesnt matter how good or smooth they look on either phone.. the controls are still really bad. i love games but i dont care about gaming on cell phones... just have the simple ones like tetris and card games to keep me busy when there are minutes to spare. the neat little ones like the flute/recorder, lightsaber, or other never before seen "games" are pretty cool to mess with.

The analog controls are being minimized little by little to make way for the new technological revolution. Wii started it. It's the way we interact. Accelermeter will make a big part in this transition.
