Anyone have an iPhone or come from one?

I had the Treo 755P, traded up to the Touch Pro, and have since gone back to the Treo. I get good video and a good plan with Sprint, and have not contract. I really want the iPhone, but can't justify the $$. I can afford the $$, just can't justify them. If Sprint gets the iPhone, I will get it then, or I may just end up going into the Apple store one day, and walking out with the phone. I love that phone!

I may just try it for 30 days... AT&T will let you transfer the phone number later on...Don't have to do it day 1.

Also, with the refer a friend thing, you get $25 and the person referring you gets $25, so that helps.

Iphone has video recorder a long time ago. And if ur good enough. Apps can be free.

1. multi touch zoom on photos? Requires both hands. How is drawing a circle with your thumb where you want to zoom not better?

2. To show where someone is on his iphone, they would have to have that as well. You can't just show where anyone is dummy. I have no friends who have an iphone so that app would be 100% useless to me.

3. I mentioned urbanspoon before. It's perfect for the sheeple that buy iphones because it thinks for them. DUHH WHERE DO I EET TONIGHT IPHONE? THIS IS TOO HARD FOR ME TO DECIDE. <urbanspoon has zero appeal to me.

4. The music search, are you friggin kidding me? If I know some lyrics, it's called google. The first results will be lyrics sites, and the song name is in the result. Then I go to a torrent site and download the entire cd for free with WMTorrent. If I hear a tune and want to ID it, I've got music ID. The app you posted is nice, but again, not IMPRESSIVE.

Finally, voice commands on the iphone... Do I really need to tell you why I think this is crap? An attachment costs money, looks stupid, and makes your device awkward to handle...

Again, you fail at making the iphone appear to be God's gift to man. Now what you SHOULD have said is "then he'd pull out a video of him doing your wife, and display it on his giant screen so you can make out every detail" LOL. (The screen size is what's most appealing to me afterall :P)

So in the end, who's walking away laughing?

You are the embodiment of a typical iphone user, and it's people like you that made me think "If I buy one of these things, I'll just be like all those brain dead yuppies."

I've never said every app on my phone was impressive, nor have I ever said windows mobile blows iphone away. I've always said, however, iphone does NOT blow windows mobile away. I have yet to see something that made me WANT to pay an extra 200 bucks to get out of sprint and go and buy that phone. It's not THAT great. It's a cool phone, as I've stated, but it's not God's gift to man as you've tried to hard to make it out to be.

You keep posting links to stuff that only makes me happier that I DIDN'T get the iphone.

You say I'm a fanboy, when really I'm not. The TP simply was the best phone sprint had, and it's turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I saw nothing about the iphone that warranted the 200 dollar etf, and the extra cost per month, not to mention the lack of insurance for lost or stolen iphones. Speaking with you only makes me feel happier for NOT owning an iphone, because it seems like only douch bags who think their opinion is better than everyone else's own an iphone. I asked my friend's realtor what he liked about his iphone once, and he said "It's an iphone!" I mean wtf? Brainless plain and simple.

Bottom line, and you can't argue with this: The iphone does NOT blow the touch pro out of the water as you've tried so hard to make it sound. The iphone is a great phone, but so is the touch pro. Everything you can do on an iphone, I can do on my touch pro, and MORE. Hey, go make a video at the club with your phone. Oh right, you can't.

It's been almost 2 years and the device evolved significantly including its followers and modders.
