Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

to get a 6800 from a broke 6700:
all u do is say " this phone has been nothing but problems for me. i need a phone that will work better."
if they say they cant, then say " can i please speak with your supervisor" they will get them.
then just repeat the first thing.
their job is to make u happy.
if u cant get a 6800 from them then u have no people skills.

i got mine like 6 months ago or something. 6700 had been broken for a while. i just didnt bother replacing it. then 30 days after mogul came out i had one.

Hmmm...I've never asked to talk to a supervisor.

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

well i am definatly envious your ur RED 6700. im serious. the 6700 plays video MUCH better the the 6800 and many games better too. so u may wanna keep it.

if u have insurance just call them back and be like "im still having problems with this phone. the sound quality of the call is very poor. I need a phone that will actually work. is there anthing you can do to help me out?"

yes? 'good, send me a 6800'

no? 'let me talk to a supervisor' repeat first line.

if they still say no. hang up. wait 2 minutes. call back. try again.

YOU WILL GET IT!

oh yeah. guys you dont need to bust ur phone. thats kinda juvinile. just send it in and say there is some **** wrong with it. like, it turns on and off all by itself, or poor call quailty, or the screen is blurry, or the keys are hard to press, or anything.

dont say things power related cause they will just wanna send u a new battery.

I would like to be so lucky with a touch pro, but the mogul's just take a beating and won't die. (regular use for me = falling of ladders, ect)
that is so true it can take a beating i have dropped my so many times and it is still kicking

Re: 6700 ---> 6800 via insurance swap?

no insurance that blows. do u know any of the sales reps or are u cool with any of them? i forgot to get insurance. 8 months into owning my 6700 something went wrong. i called my buddy who i got my phone from ,who works for a cell phone company, and he put insurance on my plan. he just told me to wait at least 30 days before i file a claim. waited 30 days. filed the claim, all was good. i would recommend going into a retail location and find some slacker looking kid. tell him u really want to add insurance. i bet u could get him to do it. what he gonna do? kick u out? just be polite but tell him ur not leaving until they give u insurance. talk to a manager. tell them u will go on ppcgeeks.com and bad mouth their location. i know they say within 7 days of buying the hardware or whatever, but it can be done. tell them u told the rep u wanted insurance and they didnt put it on there. say these phone bills are confusing, i thought i was paying for that. say u know u told the sales rep at the time u wanted insurance and they messed up. i promise u can get it. it a pain but dont give in. thats what they expect u to do. it will not be fun but u will be happy as hell and bragging about it when it works.

Some people might call that fraud. And bragging about it might just get you in trouble one day. And the part where you say, "tell them u will go on ppcgeeks.com and bad mouth their location." sounds suspiciously like extortion.

"i forgot to get insurance"? That's crap. When you sign up, they push it so hard there's no way you "forgot". You didn't want to spend the money when it was offered and then realized you were f'ed when the phone crapped out. What other product in the world offers that kind of policy? [Spend $6/month and we warranty your electronic device for as long as you pay after the factory warranty runs out. Even the electronics stores will only go for a year or two after factory warrany expires.] You just explained how you abused the system and cost those of us who legitimately pay for the insurance all this time more money every year.
I hope you don't have the same problem with health/life insurance. Telling the hospital/mortuary that you forgot and signing up before you get there will cause some major issues.

Everyone complaining about not being able to get legitimate upgrade/exchanges... look at posts like this.
Everyone complaining about the cost of TEP going up over the last few years, if you were wondering why... look at posts like this.

I can't even tell that its actually synced to the computer since it doesnt update in windows calendar or contacts and it doesnt work 90% of the time.

Anyway, should I just say my phone is missing or something? I have insurance on my line.
get a mail2web.com email account... It is free... Sync all your stuff to it...

Then you can sync your info to the new phone no matter where you are because you do not have to be connected to the computer to do it.
