Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?
So far after almost having my TP2 for a year it continues to surprise me in things I can do on it and as a phone it has performed almost flawlessly. The Evo is a damn sweet device that is tempting, but I plan to wait it out till the new WM7 phones come out and we see what really is available come mid/late summer. Its only the beginning of the battle and I think the WM7 vs Android war will get pretty hot and overall be great for us consumers.

Nice looking device, kinda big tho. The reviews are hard on the lack of 4g coverage also. I guess that'll grow. Had my tp2 10 months.Still awesome.Best physical kb on any phone imho.

With the reports of horrible battery life, the EVO is sounding like another Palm Pre. What good are a product's features if it's out of power? I'm also fond of my current plan and hardware keyboard. No regrets at all.

i see the evo as having a slightly better battery life than my hd2, but even that drinks power. bigger screen+you'll be on it more= bad battery. good thing i still have my tp2!

Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?
I have had the Touch Pro 2 since release date and i have to say, i have not been happy with this phone from day 1. It has the most terrible software imaginable, even with amazingly hacked roms. This phone performs TERRIBLE. It has no difference in speed from my Mogul. HTC sense sms + WM6.5 sms = GARBAGE.
I for one, have the evo already pre-ordered from the shack and i will be waiting at the door on friday so i can light my TP2 on fire immediately after leaving the store. |

Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?
I've been with WinMo since the first day of the Treo 700w. Microsoft needs to thank Palm for my transition into WinMo, since the PalmOS wasn't cutting it for my needs after Palm (III/V/Vx) devices went cellular.
Today... The software vendors of software I *need* for business have flawless apps for Android, and they're still trying to figure out WinMo 6.1/6.5. I don't want to drop WinMo in 2012, but the devs are giving me no choice - back to WM5, or "up" to the next generation of Phone software. Whatever replaces the Incredible will probably be my next phone. I love the TP2, but the writing is on the wall for WinMo... |
