The HD2 solves that problem, but unfortunately is only on T-Mobile.
Agreed, the extra $10/month is kinda holding me back.

I'm not really hot for android, but the proc speed is what I'm interested in.
Thank you, the TP2 is beginning to get too slow. I've seen the performance on the HD2, and it's just amazing. WAY faster than the TP2. I haven't even seen it lag once. The Evo has very similar specs, so I'm expecting the same or even better.

Not regretting my TP2 at all. Of course I've had it since the day it shipped, and Sprint gave it to me for free. That helps. And since I have a fantastic SERO plan.... I wouldn't be picking up the EVO anyways. Not that I don't want one.

Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?

Actually, I'm already regretting my pending purchase of a EVO after knowing what I could have had if I'd waited untill fall. And if I buy in the fall, I'll reget that purchase in the the spring of 2011.

Seriously, OP, whatever you buy today will be obsolete in 6 months. Do you really NOT understand that?

Fool....

SERO alliance here too. TP2 isn't a perfect phone, but is SERO the perfect plan? SOme would say yes. Plus it allows me to keep my options open. Every so often a new superphone comes down the pipe, and I dream the dream of getting those bad ass phones. And each time I can't pull the trigger. And it allows me to look forward to the next most bad ass phone soon to be released.....

Re: Anyone somewhat regretting the TP2 after seeing the HTC Evo 4G?

Nope. It's neat, but they'll have 1.3 or 1.5 Ghz phones out soon, with even more RAM and stuff. What's going to sell me on a phone is a really nice hardware keyboard with good build quality.

The TP keyboard wasn't better than the TP2 by any means. I don't miss my ctrl key, because you can easily remap the useless email and SMS/MMS keys to tab and ctrl. Worth the trade off for the comfort of it.

I am also going to wait to see what WP7S offers in comparison to Android. Right now I am leaning toward Android, but I wanna give the chefs some time to dissect WP7S. It's still running on top of WinCE, and it may be able to be hacked to run old software and be more customizable once it's "unlocked" or "rooted" or whatever the terminology ends up being.

Another advantage to the TP2 keyboard is that when typing stuff, you still get to see an 800x480 screen. Where there is on-screen keyboard, most of the display is used by the keyboard and there is not much left for other things. Another advantage with the TP2 keyboard is the separate set of keys for numbers. Also most special characters is 2 key presses away. One has to press many keys to get to special symbols when on-screen keyboards are used. Now, if they came up with an EVO with a physical keyboard, then all bets are off.
