In your phone settings, switch the USB connection from active sync to sync with Mass Storage. Then turn off your phone until later.

Not a needed step. Aside from turning it off, of course.
1. How true.

2. No, not needed. Since the flash begins before WM loads the USB connection setting is irrelevant.

It might not be a bad idea to add another sticky thread that includes a note about flashing the CC20 prerequisite so that those who've flashed other phones are made aware that Omnia flashing is not just firing up BulidOS and flashing the rom.

I just want others to enjoy the new roms and minimize their chances of bricking.

BTW, after doing CC20 and then your ROM, everything is working like a champ.
I think anybody who flashes a phone without researching the process will soon be asking for mortar mix.

That's because of rotation service. M2D doesn't play with screen rotation. You can enable different programs to use autorotation by editing the xml file.

The USB Mass Storage step shouldn't be necessary, since UMDL detects the phone waaaay before the phone even starts to load Windows Mobile.

Its not 100% effective, but it should help.

Active Sync is a true pain! Have you done any other research for this or is it a done deal? I even tried to find files for Async to delete and re-install but do luck. Omnia will not install CAB cause of no signatrue.
Curious if I missed a fix.
