All VerizonTester said was that he's a tester in the VZW labs and that it will be delayed until Q1, due to software problems, he never said anything about 6.5.
Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Coming To Verizon?

If I have to wait till next year for a VZW TP2, I'm just going to pull the trigger on a iPhone 3GS once AT&T finally enables MMS. I love my xv6800, but I'm really itching for a new toy.

Judging on what they did with O'zone (compared to other carriers versions) then I would think they are on the right track and would leave it alone with only cosmetic changes.... *crosses-fingers

XV6975 v. XV6875

I'm seeing a lot of conflicting oppinions out there. Some say XV6875 will be TP2 for verizon others say XV6975. If the latter is true, then we're in good shape, according to the article. If not looks like we'll be waiting till the cows come home. I'm leaning toward XV6975 = TP2, maybe I'm just biased or hopeful, but why would our intelligent friends at VZW release Diamond 2 so soon after releasing Diamond 1???

I wouldn't worry too much about it. All of the stories you're reading about the GCF certification of the XV6975 fail to mention that the XV6875 was certified by the same site back on April 30th. So, ultimately, if you're waiting for the Touch Pro2 on Verizon, the fact that it's the XV6875 is probably a good thing.

PS - The HTC Ozone was certified by the same site 109 days prior to release.
