and there is a way to disable HTC messaging. in face i posted it in this very thread.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556614

AND!!!! Drellisdee even posted a build with NO htc messaging.

Cant imagine why anyone would like a broken messaging client but ok...

As for the link you provided, I tried it, and well as it did solve my problem it also created a new one. After disabling/replacing the messaging client the message count does not go away on the messaging tab.

AND!!! who cares if he posted a build with no htc messaging? It's like 10 builds old.

if you read even a little through the thread you wouldve found thinkblus method which corrects that problem.

and its not 10 builds old. however i dont want to clutter up this thread helping you find things you dont know how to search for while you behave like a jacka** about it, feel free to pm if you need more help with the issues you are experiencing.

I've made two observations since my last post. 1. I turned off everything that auto-updates except the weather (it's on a 3 hr cycle) and that seems to have helped. Also, I believe something I'm using has a memory leak. It will degrade to the point where all I'll have open is Opera and the phone will bring up the out of memory window where my only options are "Opera" and "Phone". The stuff I use most often are Slacker, Kinoma, HTC Peep, & Opera. Has anyone else experienced problems with any of these programs? (I'm just trying to narrow it down.)

As always Drel, please don't view my posts as complaints. Love the ROM.

I'm fairly convinced it's Opera being culprit for me memory-wise. Especially if it pulls a disappearing act on you (crashes suddenly), I find that to be a good time to soft-reset . I'll be in Opera sometimes and get the "out of memory, close a tab" message and it's right, the device will be over 95-96% utilized. Closing Opera brings it down into the low 80s/high 70s.

I've gotten into the habit of closing Opera when I'm done surfing, it seems to keep things mostly stable, even if you do have to wait a few seconds to launch it again next time

He said he was going to wait for a new sys to leak. As of yet, I don't believe that has happened.

The leak is in gwes.exe. Microsoft has yet to fix it on any build of 6.5.

I can RECEIVE, but not SEND, MMS in 1.5c. I have added my phone number in the MMS server settings. Any ideas?

Well, I tried using removing HTC messaging client and replacing it with ArcSoft 5.2.6.45 and still no go. Any other recommendations? This is killing me....
