My first effort at restoring from SPB Backup led me to a hard reset. The radio simply would not work, nav links were missing, and it was randomly opening Add a Contact and the Calendar. Now I'm reinstalling CABS.

So has everyone learned to NOT restore from a backup after flashing a new rom? thats why we use sashimi or user customization... get familiar with them if you are planning on using hspl and flashing roms.

Yes the hard way. Even after reading that it might cause problems with registry. I did it anyway

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

Just the first day on this new ROM so far I'm blown away by the battery life I got today. 16 hours through the day and still showing 70%. And I was using Google maps a fair bit with GPS on this morning. Historically, if I never used the phone once all day at the office it would normally be at 50%-60% after just 10 hours. Keeping my fingers crossed that the day 1 experience lasts...

Re: New ROM VZW 3.04 Shipped

Did the old rom pause music when the audiojack is unplugged? Never noticed it, but I did with this version. Yay!

Also, I was able to keep my phone on overnight without a soft reset... never happened before (darn memory hole). Double yay!

Much snappier performance, too. I'm happy with the upgrade.
