Re: Verizon GPS not working anymore
I am running the official Verizon 6.1 with Valhalla. I have changed all of my settings to what Humpa has posted and have done a soft reset several times to no avail.
![]() I even tried to uninstall Valhalla using the uninstall tool I had downloaded when I first installed Valhalla hoping to re-install Valhalla to see if that made a difference. However the uninstall tool was giving me a message that the uninstall was unsuccessful. Also I live in NYC and was wondering if it made any difference as to where your geographic location was to get this agps fix working from Humpa? Logic says no. Does anyone have a suggestion to make this work? |

Re: Verizon GPS not working anymore
Out of curiosity what part of NYC? Manhattan where clear sky is a rarity or one of the other boroughs? Did you use anything to prime the GPS? I'm going to give the apgs settings one more try on the roof deck but I'm not optimistic.

HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\Mode=2 (the original value) HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEAddress=5C8BC6D8 HKLM\Software\Valhalla Legends\GPSServer\PDEPort=8889 The only thing that I did yesterday was another soft reset and it was working. I live in the upper Westside of Manhattan. I had both Google Maps and WLS working in 2 locations so far. They were Times Square near my office in the West 30's & Broadway/7th Avenue and the upper Westside near Lincoln Center where I live. I checked it again this morning at 7 AM walking my dog and it was still working. |

I have been experiencing this issue on and off for the last few weeks. At first I thought it was the radio, and actually was able to have (2) replacements sent in the last several weeks. I pay over $300 a month for my service....don't ask. Anyway, I can say with certainty that they have fixed the backdoor.
After yesterdays reflash and reload, I decided to have VZnav activated and VOILA! My garmin XT20 software worked great! So did Windows Live search. Then I went on line and cancelled VZnav and restarted my xv6800. About an hour later, NO SIGNAL! So I can say for sure that VZnav works and everything else does as well, turn it off and everything quits. It was fun while it lasted. Now I need to get my GPS back that I gave to my daughter. LOL
