It wouldn't make much since to go w/ a much slower processor.
Actually it could. A slower processor would have a lower battery drain, so sometimes it is useful to have a slower processor.

Ok, I should have been clearer. I understand they can have a slower processor, but I meant that the GHz #'s aren't on the same scale.
The Qualcomm 400GHz is not the same scale as the TI 201GHz.
In other words, the 201GHz is not half the speed of the 400GHz.
If it is slower, it's not half.

And it definitely makes sense to have a processor w/ less battery drain.

A slower processor might have a lower battery drain, but again it depends on the processor. An Intel Atom running at 1.6GHz uses a lot less power than an Athlon64 at 1.6GHz!

Anyway, I still wish my Diamond was faster. My Asus A696 PDA with an Intel PXA270 400MHz CPU seems a lot snappier than the Diamond. Even so, I wouldn't give up the Diamond for anything right now. That screen is great :P
