Did they humor you and try out a couple potential replacements? Honestly, if anyone sees the good one compared to the bad, they would instantly become believers.

Why are you letting them "get away," this time?

Re: Good vs Bad screens (pictures + videos of both)

I just went to a Sprint store and the guy unboxed 3 Touch's for me and I checked the screen. Same thing as mine unfortunately. He said they are selling quick so maybe try back in a week to check the screens out again.

Yep. I just got my Sprint Touch and it also has the "bad" screen. However, compared to my Mogul, the LCD is MUCH MUCH more visible outdoors in direct sunlight. The polarizing filter which is causing the crappy viewing angles is working to our advantage by blocking out some of the glare and sunlight. It's almost if they used these screens with that intention in mind?

I gave my "bad" screen that test today and it is usable (obviously not ideal) in direct sunlight woot!

I got another one and it's also bad. I think these good ones are few and far between. Like maybe they ran out of screens for one lot and grabbed some of the Verizon ones.

Re: Good vs Bad screens (pictures + videos of both)

I'm on my third Sprint Touch:

1st) Screen was a little dark and colors washed out
2nd) Screen was pretty nice, but not as nice as shown in the comparison pics
3rd) Horrible viewing angle

So, I'd say that there are more than 2 screen versions.

I think there is one manufacturer that makes a good screen, and then the rest just have various defects and are of sub-par quality...

Re: Good vs Bad screens (pictures + videos of both)

Yeah, I just got a replacement Touch yesterday due to some dark spots that appeared on my first one's screen.

Unfortunately, this one is a bad screen too. I almost think its better than my previous one though.
