Re: Verizon VX6900 - Altell ROM

So which MMS thing should i install?

The 4821 cab (btw the dl link i saw posted elsewhere to verizonguy.com's file asks for another password but i googled and found a 'ArcSoft_MMS_4281.exe') or should i use the rapidshare link posted here earlier for WWE_Composer?). Was advantage of 4821 that u can uninstall the app if you want via Remove Programs?

just wondering i unzipped this inside of win mobile, and got an .exe
but i cant run it, says not valid win app. i can run that .exe on my PC and it creates a Program Files like directory for 'ArcSoft MMS' but should the .exe create this on my phone?

or would i need to drag that folder into my phone via ActiveSync, put it somewhere on phone then create a shortcut whereever i need to use it?

Also on a sitenote: did you figure out how to update the Weather screen with your own custom city? I am using ghetto's rom and it defaults at canadian cities. changed the xml file, but now its blank and nothing shows up.

Re: Verizon VX6900 - Altell ROM

Quick update... I too have had alot of success. The Alltel ROM started giving quirky probs like missing text alerts and such (probably something I installed on top of it) So I have flashed a few things now. I finally settled on OMJ's 6.1 verizon2 ROM. REALLY happy with it so far things have been stable for about a week now with all my crap loaded. For the record I am using the .35 Radio with the updated GPS drivers. I have installed a bunch of mortscripts and am using AstroGPSlauncher with TomTom and its all working great -- avg time to get satellites is about 2-5 minutes if not shorter. Pretty stable all said.

Has anyone tried the New leaked Sprint ROM?

Also someone leaked the the HTC Diamond SIP! It looks silly (See below). I am not sure if it is considered WAREZ so I wont post a link but a good google search may turn something up.

Ack. So sorry, I attached the arcsoft for inclusion in a kitchen whereas you need the cab. I actually posted the cab here:

Here is what I did (with help from another thread):

1) Installed Arcsoft 4281 cab and soft reset

2) Go into Messaging \ MMS \ Options \ Servers and create a server just like the one in the attached screenshot. Make it default. Delete any others.

3) Regedit:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader]

-Delete any X-Whatever-MDN values from OTHER carriers. For example if you flashed an altell ROM, you might have an X-Altell-MDN entry here. Because you're not on Altell, delete it.

-Add a string value
Name= X-VzW-MDN
Value= your ten digit phone number

-Change the following value to these:
User-Agent= utstar67kv1
Accept= application/vnd.wap.multipart.related
Accept-Language= en

4) Soft Reset.

i did all this and all i get is an error synchronizing when i press send/receive and it acts like i send something but it just disappears and stays in my outbox..

fyi im running ghettofreeryder's new v710 rom.. with very few minor problems.. and with the new sprint 3.37.15 radio..

im goin to cook another rom up and test a few things

Soccerman, Is the Sprint Radio any better than the Alltel for you?

Re: Verizon VX6900 - Altell ROM

I upgraded my XV6900 to Alltel and then Vista710 6.1 reva, gps rom and it appears GPS doesn't acquire with GPSviewer. Am i missing something?

Edit: never mind. I soft reset and then it took about 5 min to lock in.
