I'm on the Mustan-Tech ROM (Mustan-Clean-Rom). The voice and internet have been working though I have reprogrammed my phone using #228 and I no longer have voice (internet still works). I am currently trying to re-authenticate my phone with VZW using #2539 but they have kept the line open with a technician working on the account supposedly. This line has been open 3 hours ongoing. Hopefully there are some solutions out there for me.

Update: I can receive sms now (sent them to myself using the VZW send txt webpage), but I cannot send sms.

Just wait on the SMS until you've got your voice restored...

Hey, thanks for the reply. I went ahead and hung up the call. Voice and SMS still do not work. I can't back to the #832 line either ("Cannot authenticate..."). I called tech support but they weren't able to help me, the tech asked me to reprogram using *228 with both options (1 first, 2 second). That didn't work, the tech asked me to do a hard reset through Windows Mobile and then reprogramming with option 1. That didn't work and the tech gave up. Any ideas? Thanks.

Currently doing the #2539 thing. The line's automation message tells me promotions, then lets me know a technician is currently working on re-authenticating my phone and to keep my phone on the line, then continues promotions. I never get to talk to a real person using #2539. Should I be? Should I just hang up after a certain amount of time after the tech notification?

Re: Verizon VX6900 - Altell ROM

Anyone figure out how to edit the xml file so your city shows up in the Weather list?
I edited the xml file to no avail. click on the orig city Calgary, it tried to switch to the city picker and closes that screen first time go there. go back and its empty list. Im thinking

GPS is kinda spotty. GPSViewer got a quick lock the first time i used it at my house, and google maps then locked onto me quick. Went downtown last night and i assumed it would be quick after locking that first time but waiting 20m and was still 'No Fix' so i kinda gave up and went to restaurant for my mom . Now when back at home, when running GPSViewer, i get 'No Fix, Aquiring'. Thought mabye since it locked originally at my house, maybe it would be easily for it to lock near your orig signal.
Then i get 'Aquiring 3D' after a while (20m). Radio version in Device Info is 3.37.10 btw. Sometimes when i run it again, it doesnt lock on my location at home quickly, as i thought it should after it has already found me. I ran it again actually and now it after regetting my fix. so i dunno. ill keep updated.

Some things i would like to see here:
Be nice to have 'vibratouch'(or i think HTC calls it biotouch/feedback?) when pressing phone buttons like verizon Voyager,
Alarm Clock doesnt allow custom mp3's?, the default ringtones are soo quiet to me. didnt get me up a few days in a row hehe.

the weather thing is a quick fix for me just to reload the original xml cities file that came with it.. i donno if ur city is listed there, but at least its not canada..

my gps is kinda sketchy too.. havent quite got it down.. i made my own rom and there is an option in the kitchen to make it vibrate with each keypad press. and for custom alarm sounds i heard if u convert it to .wav files then put it somewhere in your windows folder that you can use it.. ive been wanting to make the circle of life from the lion king my alarm.. haha thought it would be funny..

sorry these are all pretty much half answers i will get you links and files later.. im at my parents house still

Not sure if this would help, but somewhere on one of the threads, someone explained how to re-authenticate your phone yourself:

Log into my account at verizonwireless.com … if you haven’t registered yet do that first … under my phone … go to activate equipment … stay on the right side … activate phone … put in the new esn … if you have multiple phone lines like I do select the right line … put other as a reason … click submit … it will tell you it was successful … do *228 option 1 … voila done … repeat with flashed phone after flashing

Re: Verizon VX6900 - Altell ROM

Authentication error fix - I called in VZW Tier 1 support and they couldn't help and I was sent to Tier 2 support. Their fix was to send me an update over the phone and then everything worked after that. I bet they are getting quite a few XV6900 calls and they may start thinking something is wrong with the phones.

GPS works well. With GPSviewer just wait until you get long and lattitude and then minimize don't wait for the whole 3D thing. I had turn by turn directions using Live Search and the whole overlay with Virtual Earth is very slick as it gives you surroundings, buildings, trees, etc. The sat images seem more up to date then Google Maps as it seems they are are missing new bulidings, etc.

Has anyone had issues with custom cubes with the Vista710 ROM? Some don't work at all anymore.
