O right. Well probably about 5 builds back it worked for both with me. it was the first build with working sd driver. But then on the next update it stopped reading pictures...

So just depends on if you don't care about going back to an older build for it.

Hmm....well to be honest I can't remember which way it went. At first I had both, but then lost one (can't remember which). Either way, probably worth it for you to give it a try (though it may be harder on your card w/ the older fs? :S ).

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

I finally got to play with a G1 today.

Data rate on T-Mobile 3G here was definitely slower than Sprint RevA EVDO on my Touch in WM or Android from DZO (latest NOV12th release).

Also the user interface didn't feel any faster than Android on my Touch. I was really surprised, considering that we are booting Android in Linux from Windows Mobile..

In a way I actually prefer the button setup on the Touch using the volume slider for menu forward back as opposed to the G1's menu and back buttons. I forgot to try the keyboard (but the buttons were small and recessed), and I didn't see if there is an on-screen keyboard at all? Anyone know?

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

Android is running full speed on the Touch since it is not an emulator and does not have WinMo running at all.

Also Android does not have an on-screen keyboard. That is why we are using dzo's Linux kernel keyboard and not a native keyboard in Android.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

and great work to everyone who is making this possible

edit: Went ahead and made it. Basically it is a script that when you run it, it asks you if you would like to start android. If you click no, it exits to windows. If you click yes, it starts the internet, and runs haret.exe from the storage card root. Then, it waits 5 seconds for haret to start up, and clicks the screen at x=210, y=75, which is the run button, which causes android to boot... You COULD place it in your windows->startup folder, which would make it easy to load android after windows boots.

If you device is slower at bootup it can be changed to waiting more time...

Use at your own risk, of course. Test it a few times before you place it in your startup folder... (if you were even planning on doing that)
Do you know how to modify the script so that if within so many seconds the yes or no is not tapped, it will default to no and boot WM? I'd love to have that addition, as I have a mortscript in my startup folder that starts up Spb Insight and then does an autoupdate of the rss channels. If your script can be modified, then I'd modify mine by adding more wait time. I know a little mortscript but not much. If not, could you post the coordinates for the "No" button. When I tried to find them I wasn't getting the ones you had for the "Yes" button. Thanks, and your script is a great idea!

yes. very cool. I've found that I need to run haret the first time without an androidapps folder; after that, all is good.
