Yep those preferences are the first things I disabled when I installed Android. Its true, it probably saves around 50% of your batt. life.

My phone is about 10 hours in right now and the battery is at 6% now. I think in winmo i'd still have about 20-30% left right now.

EDIT:: Wow, when android says my battery is dead and shuts off and I plug it in to charge, it just jumps to 50%... how can this be? (I verified in winmo that the battery is actually dead).

Could Panel type in default.txt have anything to do with this?

the temperature of the battery in android has alot to do with how the battery percentage is read. if it's hot it shows a higher percentage and if it's cold it shows a lower percentage. i think the latest update fixes alot of those problems and if it doesn't they are working on it.

You're right, sometimes when Android says your battery is at 20% and you boot into windows, it will magically be at say 35% or 40%. From lurking over at XDA, it appears this is a problem the developers are testing and still trying to iron out.

FYIs, new system, zImage, and Initrd are up today. mssmison has also contributed a hero themed system build. Can't wait to get home and try it out!

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

The battery % thing is because android does not take into account battery temperature. It's being worked on . You guys sound really close to me in battery power.. unless of course I leave my brightness cranked up lol.

Re: Android For The Vogue Is Here!!!

Hey guys, just changed to Android 1.5, and I am having trouble. I have no keyboard, and though I've read about this issue, I have no idea how to fix it.

Please help!
