I know sprint family locator works with cell tower triangulation because it works on many phones that do not have gps. the gps everyone is waiting for is *hopefully* going to be much more than that. more like what the mogul has. I can't speak for Boost mobile though. don't know much about their services.

p.s. i do agree that he shoulda been banned-if he hasn't already-not based on his personal opinions of others on the forum, but because of his willingness to share those opinions. there are ppl here i don't like. i don't start making a deal about it.

just got off from chat with ecare and i asked the rep that i heard an update was released for the touch that enabled gps and where could i download it here's a bit from the transcript:
03/19/2008 01:34:53PM Patrick : "hello i was told that an update for my touch was available that would enable gps where do i go to download it?"
03/19/2008 01:36:16PM Agent (Teairra): "I believe that it is unavailable until May, however you can go to Sprint.com/downloads and try or the HTC website"
03/19/2008 01:36:35PM Patrick : "ok thank you"

It took a couple of minutes for her to respond so i'm guessing she had to ask somebody, now i know that when it comes to sprint customer service believe half of what you see and none of what you hear lol, but i read that they removed the mogul from the website more than likely to update the specifications and while updating current stock to the new rom. Maybe they are waiting until that is complete and all of the moguls they currently have are upgraded before starting with the touch. And since the folks here already had a leaked version months before the official let's hope lightening strikes twice and we can get ahold of a leaked version for us
