Re: rev a and gps update maybe?
Did the email say anything else, like explain what GPSA is? I've seen the acronym AGPS (as in assisted gps) before but never GPSA. I am with aliant (bell) too so I'm very interested in this.

Re: rev a and gps update maybe?
We can only hope. Be nice to see it working soon. Neil85 care to provide a rip of your rom? Also have you installed google maps or anything to test if gps is working?

Re: rev a and gps update maybe?
I have seen no report of GPS or RevA being active on the Touch yet, nor any confirmation or firmware to suggest otherwise, so I don't think anyone is working on anything.
I would like to be wrong but I just dont think it is happening so you shouldnt get your hopes up until at least Vz releases their Touch. That way if something unexpected happens like a leaked ROM (comeon Sprint) or a Bell Canada firmware does exist than you are pleasantly surprised |

Re: rev a and gps update maybe?
I am ready for the RevA, I read somewhere where the touch doesn't have a gps receiver. But they can simulate it by triangulating your position off the towers. I personally don't care about the gps. When and if I need it, I won't be on the enhanced network to be able to use it. It would work in town and I already know where I live and where I work.
