Steve ROM is going slow but sure. It will be the cleanest ROM anyone has seen. I am painstakenly removing all the extraneous apps that I dont consider to be part of a "clean" ROM, and even the registry entries that go with them. The goal is to have a ROM that can be flashed quickly, and doesnt just dump everything in \Windows directory. Any additions would be done by CAB, and even then the CABs will be tweaked to install in their own directory under Program Files. Its alot to get done but in the end I am sure it will be great. How are things by you? GPS operational? Steve |

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
back to the case thing cause this sidethread got started here a few posts ago. vzwtechbill changed his case. so did some others but that would definitely void any vzw liability wouldnt vzwtechbill? the refurb vzw sent me had the "void" sticker over the screw missing from the back so I am assuming i could switch back my cracked case and send it back to vzw if i had other problems with it? those reading need to understand that changing the case manually could cause vzw to void the 1 year warranty.

speaking of phone issues, the screen itself is peeling up, has that happened to anyone else's?

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
Both my wife and I have had numerous problems with our XV6900's. The number of dropped and missed calls is unbelievable. It is a shame that verizscum is so far behind everyone else with an update. I believe this phone could be far better than it is currently. Were it not for the talented and brave hackers and programmers out there, these phones would S U C K a whole lot more.
