Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
You need to backup your contacts and files on the phone before you do this just in case. you can easily draw your stuff from the phones hard drive to the sd card. i like pim backup. the flash will not affect your sd card.

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
it will not effect the sd card, if you take it out before flashing. and yes, flashing the rom wipes out everything. pim backup will back all of that up for you, and i would save the back up to either the sd card, or somewhere on your computer that you remember.

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
I have a 6900 that has been successfully unlocked. I am somewhat a newbie, but through some mistakes and lots of reading, figured a few things out. Really all I want is to make GPS work with my 6900. Live search and Google Maps would be fine. Is this update the way to go? Or should I do more?

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
Alright I flashed it and it works nicely, but I accidently let half of the customizations run, does this stop my GPS from working? If so can I just flash again?

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
So I am a newB as well. I have "flashed" the stock ROM back on and the screen on the phone is telling me to touch it to begin set up for mobile based devices. Won't this brick the phone? What is my next step while I am staring at a green screen?
