I have just come back from scrosley thread and it seemed all ran into dead end streets and spaghetti junctions! So you are still working on the 'Steve' great! I am not clear on what you were getting at above but let me know specifically and I may get my trunks on and take the dive!!! leslie |

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
The leaked rom I keep seeing it everywhere and before I flash my phone again I want to see if it even looks like something that I would want.

Re: Verizon - Official WM 6.1 Update
You would hardly know the difference from what you see on your xv6900 right now. A screen shot would look identical. Just a couple of things different and it is snappier. Its basically the same format, just tweaked and tuned a little better. Before you flash do you have in mind what you want? If you are wanting GPS for Garmin, Tom Tom or other 3rd party GPS software, BE SURE to follow instructions carefully for this type of flash. You DO NOT want CUSTOMIZATIONS to run if you want the aforementioned stuff. Some of us learned this the hard way. leslie

This WM 6.1 ROM has proven itself very stable to me over the last 2 weeks and the GPS has worked extremely well when putting the .dll files in the correct slots. Last edited by Timeband; 12-01-2008 at 11:19 PM. |

Yes, GMM and Live Search will run but Garmin, Tom Tom and others won't if customizations were allowed to run. Some are working around this but I couldn't on my xv6900. I am now getting help from scrosler at a different thread. He made me a custom fix that I will try tomorrow, gotta go to bed now. If you are interested in results let me know. leslie |

I understand these device better than most contributing to the help of this problem right now. You choose to change your mind and not stick to your guns when you feel the tasking may be difficult. This is why you see spaghetti junctions. Thank you |

First install Valhall GPS cab then install Franson's GPSgate. It allows you to create a simulated hardware port for TomTom and those type programs that need a hardware port to lock into. I have done this so I know for a fact it works. If you need help I can try to help you get there. Where are you at now? |
